WABA supports Jerry Moran for U.S. SenateApril 15, 2016
WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Area Builders Association (WABA) today announced their support of U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) for re-election. Sen. Moran is a member of the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, which has jurisdiction over a number of matters including banking, public and private housing and urban development and mass transit.
“Jerry has proven to be an accessible, receptive, reliable and dependable ally as we work together to minimize the regulatory burden placed on our industry, and small business in general, by the federal government,” WABA President and CEO Wesley Galyon said.“He has worked to stop Obama’s job-killing agenda and roll-back the harmful impacts of Obamacare on small business owners.”
“I’m honored to have the support of the Wichita Area Builders Association and the many respected Wichita business owners that they represent,” Sen. Moran said. “Standing side-by-side with them in the fight to reduce Washington’s red tape and to roll back the onerous and unnecessary regulations imposed by the Obama Administration will continue to be my top priority.”
Galyon continued, “He continues to place a high priority on helping grow and improve the economy in the greater Wichita and surrounding areas, which includes the very important component of local job creation, and for these reasons the Wichita Area Builders Association has determined that Jerry is the candidate deemed to be the most worthy of our full support in his bid for re-election to the United States Senate.”
This support comes following yesterday’s announcement of a joint partnership with the Sedgwick County Republican Party to open a campaign office for the duration of the cycle with the Sedgwick County Republican Party.
The Wichita Area Builders Association is a not-for-profit tax exempt association founded and dedicated to benefiting home builders and other persons and firms engaged in related businesses and professions in Sedgwick, Harvey, Butler, Sumner, Cowley, Harper and Kingman Counties of the state of Kansas.
