Tiahrt Skips Veteran’s Vote, Attends Washington Fundraiser Instead

With Memorial Day around the corner, the House of Representatives voted to honor “the courage and sacrifice” of America’s Armed Forces and Veterans on Wednesday. While Todd Tiahrt was in D.C. for the vote, he chose to skip it… so he could attend a Washington fundraiser.

Below is a response from Moran campaign Communications Director Dan Conston:

“When faced with the opportunity to honor America’s veterans or attend a Washington fundraiser, Todd Tiahrt chose spending time with his Washington buddies over America’s veterans. In a state with 5 military installations and hundreds of thousands of active-duty military and veterans, this is just the latest example of Mr. Tiahrt putting Washington ahead of Kansas. Perhaps his desire to keep a job in Washington is getting in the way of Kansas’ best interests.”
