Kansas’ Senate Race: The Age of Immoderation

TODD TIAHRT and Jerry Moran are both congressmen from Kansas. They both hate big government. Each is anti-abortion and pro-gun. Mr Tiahrt (pictured) has the support of Sarah Palin, tea-party heroine. Mr Moran has the support of South Carolina senator Jim DeMint, tea-party hero. These men were the alternatives, such as they were, in Kansas’s Republican Senate primary on August 3rd. It was one of the year’s ugliest contests.
