The race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate between Reps. Jerry Moran and Todd Tiahrt heated up Wednesday, with the Tiahrt campaign accusing Moran of releasing a “bogus poll.”
The GOP Senate primary has been marked by increasing friction, with the two candidates taking jabs at each other over earmark requests, debates and who is the real conservative in the race. However, the announcement of the poll has taken things to a new level, with some of the sharpest rhetoric of the campaign to date.
Earlier today, I posted about a poll that was released this morning regarding a poll putting U.S. Rep. Jerry Moran, R-Kan. up by 26 points over his GOP opponent U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback.
